Settling in

Yeah! I feel like we are settling in and making friends. The people in our ward are so nice and do lots of activities. In fact, I have a running partner now...at 6 in the morning!!!!!!!! She is crazy!! No, not really but that is so early for me. So I decided that I am going to train for a marathon now since I won't be giving birth anytime soon. It has been a goal of mine for awhile now and I would like to accomplish it before I die. I figured I might as well do it while I'm young and not pregnant!
We have made friends here and have hung out with some friends of Jer's from high school. They have a son the same age as Parks so it's nice. Parker has come out of his "shell" lately. Usually, he is afraid of other kids and doesn't want to play with them unless he "knows" them. By that I mean has seen them several times and gotten used to them. Well last night, we went to a barbeque and there were tons of kids there. He just went up to them and started playing and pushing them on the tricycle. He now steps in grass!!! He was so scared of grass and cried when we put him on it. Now he plays in it!! I am so glad!
I have decided that I am going to stay at home with Parks. I had a hard time making a decision whether I should work and put him in daycare or stay home. The fact is...Jer is in school all day and rarely sees Parks. If I worked, Parks would hardly see me so...I decided to stay at home. We have fun anyways!!!
